The 2008 National City Art & Apples Festival will feature over 250 artists from around the country. The talent and range of artists’ mediums at the festival will be nothing short of remarkable, and will include textiles, watercolor, woodworking, glassblowing, pottery, jewelry and more. Paint Creek Center for the Arts juried selection process ensures the caliber and integrity of the festival’s national assembly of artists and their work. Paint Creek Center for the Arts received several applications for the 2008 festival from artists throughout the county. The jury process for the festival is done anonymously and in silence by art professionals who judge each entry on the basis of originality, design, use of materials, and overall impact. Each applicant is assigned a number and no names are used. Together with a changing jury panel, this blind-jury process ensures a fair scoring system. The highest scoring artists within each category were offered booth space at the festival. The artists with the next highest scores in each category were placed on the wait list. Important Information for Accepted Artist
All artists listed on the application are required to be present at check-in and with the work for the duration of the festival. Artists may display only in their accepted category. Nothing of lesser quality or completely different than that shown on your slides may be exhibited. A packet of information will be mailed to you in early August which will include your booth assignment and other festival information.
