Get Involved and Volunteer

Yes, we're already looking for volunteers to help us with the 45th annual Art & Apples Festival scheduled for the weekend after Labor Day on September 10, 11 & 12. This is a great opportunity for families, employee groups, team building exercises, community service hours, and meeting new people! Volunteer options are available for varying ages, skill levels, and physical requirements. Plus, all volunteers receive a FREE t-shirt featuring an artist's work!

Volunteer Opportunities

Ambassadors act as customer service representatives for the artists and handle such tasks as booth sitting, requesting help with booth needs, relaying messages, and handling artist’s concerns.

Artist Care volunteers will assist artists beyond ambassadors by helping those who have asked for handicap status, shuttling artists and equipment to booths, and organizing artist hospitality deliveries.

Artist Check-In
volunteers meet and greet artists to provide them with their “artist packet”, check their name against the official list, check for identification, copy license plate number, and assist with any questions.

Food
volunteers will maintain communication with both for-profit and non-profit food vendors and handle such tasks as requesting help with booth needs, relaying messages, and handling vendor’s concerns.

Information
volunteers will be stationed at the North or South locations and assist artists, provide directions to festival-goers, handle emergencies, and sell festival merchandise (if applicable).

Kids Art Zone volunteers will work with families and children (pre-school and elementary level) to create free “make and take” art projects.

Kids Art Maze
volunteers will help run the activity and hand out prizes to children.

Silent Auction volunteers will assist with pick-up of auction pieces from artists around the park, help with tent set-up and tear-down, organize and display items, and help with close-out.

Site Layout volunteers will help “spray paint” and measure the placement of exhibitors in the North and South levels. Dates: September 8 - 10, 2009.
